Six months sober

Six months today. I woke up and the first thought wasn't about a drink. It was about coffee. That might not sound like much but it's everything. My sponsor took me for breakfast. He's been sober eleven years. I asked him when it gets easy. He said 'It doesn't get easy. You get strong.' I wrote that on a Post-it and stuck it on my bathroom mirror.
